How Big Ben makes its metal beds: From design to delivery

Peek inside our process and see how Big Ben turns steel into the best quality metal bed frames - ready for your home.

Who we are (and why it matters)

Big Ben began in 1965 as a small workshop started by Mr. Joginder Singh. Today, led by the next generation, we run a world-class facility with advanced CNC machinery, precision welding, automated powder-coating lines, and complete in-house R&D and tooling. From concept to final product, every piece is built for durability, design, and detail.

We’re based in Ludhiana, Punjab, and are proud exporters of metal bed frames and parts to the USA - trusted by top furniture OEMs with 100k+ units sold across leading marketplaces.

The 8 steps: from idea to your bedroom

1) Design & R&D

Every bed begins in our tool room. Using VMCs, advanced design software, and CNC equipment, our team converts ideas into precise 3D models and production-ready tooling. This speeds up development while ensuring accuracy - core to a metal bed frame manufacturer that promises consistent quality at scale.

2) Prototyping & tooling

With an in-house metal press shop and plastic injection moulding, we shape sample components, check fits, refine tolerances, and lock the final design. Doing this under one roof shortens timelines and keeps control over quality.

3) Materials that last

Our frames are crafted from durable, powder-coated steel and robust wrought iron - materials chosen for strength and long-term reliability. If you’re shopping for the best quality metal bed frames, these are exactly the specs to look for.

4) Precision fabrication & welding

CNC-cut parts are joined using precision welding systems, building a rigid structure that resists flex and squeaks over time - one of the reasons Big Ben is a go-to metal bed frame manufacturer.

5) In-house finishing

We control finishing end-to-end: powder coating, chrome/nickel, zinc, ED coating, and paint - applied in our own facility for consistency and corrosion resistance. Powder coating is standard on many of our frames.

6) Assembly details that make a difference

Different models are engineered for different needs:

7) Quality checks

Strong low-gauge steel or wrought iron, clean welds, powder-coated finishes, robust support, and, for adjustable models, reliable motors and smart presets. We emphasize load testing, finish inspection, and warranty support as part of Big Ben’s quality assurance.

8) Packing & delivery

Once approved, frames are packed and shipped. As exporters of metal bed frames and parts from India to the USA, we’re set up for smooth deliveries - right to your door when you order.
